Puzzles are a great activity year-round, and our family has done so many fun puzzles that I decided to share some of our favorites for every season! These are the best puzzles we’ve found for winter, spring, summer, and autumn, with a photo of each box and some individual pieces. I’m sharing what we love about each puzzle, as well as helpful details and even some of our favorite puzzle essentials!
Best Puzzles for Winter
NYC Christmas
NYC Christmas is a 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle featuring a gorgeous scene of Rockefeller Center at Christmastime. It would be a perfect puzzle to do during Christmas break! We loved piecing together all the people ice skating!
Common Quilt Blocks
This Common Quilt Blocks puzzle from Cobble Hill is so pretty! We love all the uniquely shaped pieces, and putting together each quilt square as so fun! It comes with a 9.5 x 13 inch poster of the puzzle, which was super helpful as we were piecing it together.
Cozy Retreat
Cozy Retreat is one of my favorite puzzles! It’s made by Ravensburger, so everything is high quality. This puzzle has 500 pieces and tons of pretty details that make it so fun to put together!
Getting Ready for Christmas
This 1000 piece EuroGraphics Getting Ready for Christmas puzzle is perfect for the cold winter months! We’ve put it together several times and the pieces have stayed nice. I loved working on the bedrooms and Christmas trees!
Colorful Yarn
Colorful Yarn is a cozy 500 piece puzzle from Springbok! The yarn pieces were so fun to put together, and I loved all the colors. This puzzle would be great for anyone who loves to knit/crochet and do puzzles during the winter!
Best Puzzles for Spring
The Bookshop
The Bookshop is a cute and fun 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle! It has so many clever details, from the real book covers to blooming flowers. It would be great for springtime!
Kitchen Chickens
This Kitchen Chickens 1000 piece puzzle from Eeboo features a fun kitchen scene with lots of bright colors! We’ve put it together a few times and the pieces have stayed really nice. I especially love the yellow walls and vintage dishes!
Confection Street
Confection Street is a charming 300 piece puzzle by Charles Wysocki. It was so fun to put together all the different shops! This puzzle has large pieces (about 1.5 x 1.5 inches each), which is an added bonus!
Blissful Borough
This Blissful Borough puzzle would be perfect to put together on a rainy spring day! It has 1000 unique pieces, and it’s made by Springbok, which is a great brand of puzzles. My favorite part was piecing together the houses and church!
Yard Sale
Our neighborhood is full of yard sales during the spring, so this Yard Sale puzzle makes me think of springtime. It’s an Aimee Stewart 1000 piece puzzle that almost feels like playing I Spy! We loved the fact that it came with an 11 x 14 inch poster of the puzzle, so we could find all the fun details!
Best Puzzles for Summer
Beach Vacation
This Beach Vacation puzzle is perfect for summertime! Like the other Aimee Stewart puzzles, it comes with a poster that features an 11 x 14 inch image of the puzzle. It has 1000 pieces and more fun details than we can count!
Seaside Beauty
Putting together this Seaside Beauty puzzle makes me feel like I’m on a beach vacation! It’s a 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle that features a stunning ocean view. I love the foaming waves and bright blue water!
Annie’s Hideaway
Annie’s Hideaway is a fun and colorful 550 piece Masterpieces puzzle! The pieces are high quality, and it comes with a 10.5 x 14 inch poster of the puzzle, which is really helpful when you’re putting it together. I loved piecing together all the toys!
Coney Island
This Coney Island puzzle is full of fun details, with everything from patterned beach umbrellas to a Nathan’s Hot Dog shop to families taking selfies! It has 500 pieces, and is made in the USA by Dowdle. The pieces are high quality, and it even comes in a really nice box!
Best Puzzles for Autumn
Local Bookstore
Local Bookstore is a cozy autumn puzzle that makes me so happy! It’s made by White Mountain, and has 1000 high quality pieces. I loved putting together all the unique people and books!
Positano
This 500 piece Ravensburger Positano puzzle is gorgeous! It’s high quality, and the colors make me think of a peaceful autumn sunset. I really enjoyed piecing together the flowers and houses!
The Bizarre Bookshop 2
The Bizarre Bookshop 2 is a fun and challenging Ravensburger puzzle! It has 1000 pieces and tons of tiny details, which makes it more of a challenge than some of the other puzzles on this list, while still being fun. We loved all the funny book titles!
Country Store
This Country Store puzzle is a 500 piece Buffalo Games puzzle that features a charming autumn scene! It feels nostalgic and fun, and would be perfect to piece together on a crisp autumn weekend. The signs and produce were especially fun to put together!

A Puzzle Table
Having a designated puzzle table is a game changer! We love using a simple folding table like this Lifetime 25011 when we work on puzzles. It keeps all the pieces together and off the kitchen table that we use for meals. This table is similar to the one in the photos with the puzzles and folds in half for easy storage! The surface is approximately 6 feet by 2.5 feet, and it’s just under 2.5 feet high. It’s high quality, durable, and will last for many puzzles! ;)
Puzzle Sort & Go
These Puzzle Sort & Go stacking trays are amazing! They keep all the pieces organized, and you can link them together or stack them to save space. These are especially helpful if you’re doing your puzzle on a kitchen table or other shared space, because you can stack the trays to keep the table mess-free when you’re not working on the puzzle. They are about 7.5 x 7.5 inches, and the six trays can hold up to 1000 pieces! These are a must have if you love doing puzzles!
